This page is dedicated to the installation process or processes of subwoofers. This includes 6.5", 8", 10", 12" and 15" subwoofers. Subwoofers probably have the most installation variables of any car audio component. The reason for this is because they can be mounted/installed in many different ways.
Subwoofer Manufactureres design their subs to be mounted or installed in a variety of ways. This includes, free-air (no box/enclosure), Sealed box, Ported box (aka, acoustic suspension), Bandpass box, which is a combination of a sealed and ported box. There are also different orders of bandpass boxes.
